Ocean Nepal has been running the children’s care home for more than three years. We are committed to caring for the children, at least until they have completed their secondary education. In addition Ocean Nepal is planning a number of other projects in order to meet its wider objectives. These will target children without parents from the impoverished and remote areas of Nepal. 

RAMRO SHATI CARE HOME

The children's care home is currently housed in rented premises in Kathmandu . The home consists of 4 rooms: two bed rooms for the children and House Mother, a room for study/office and playing and a kitchen. The house has its own garden where children can play in lea sure time.

Hopefully by the end of 2006. We will be able build a new children's care home. In this way we can take care for more children in the future if required and we can rent some rooms to volunteers as well.

Child Health Care

OCEAN Nepal is planning to establish a health care centre, possibly in “Ramro Shati' ( The name of the orphanage is Ramroshati). It will be managed and staffed by local doctors, nurses and para-medical staff, with perhaps in future support from foreign volunteers. By the foreign and local volunteer OCEAN Nepal would like to give education ruler part of Nepal as the future plan of the project .

EDUCATION

Schooling

We are planning to have a good relationship with the local school where the children receive their education( ORACLE RAY ACADEMY ). The school is privately run, and most students' parents pay a monthly fee. Some of our children receive scholarships, which mean they receive education for free. The school only uses books and is in need of practical educational material, including library books, equipment for science, games, library books, and some computers. OCEAN Nepal is committed to contribute either funds or (second-hand) educational materials to this school.

In addition we plan to support the government school of Muralighanjyang and other rural areas. You need to tell where and what this is

Scholarships

It is OCEAN Nepal's intention to set money aside for the children currently cared for in the orphanage to ensure their further education. This could be for apprenticeships, trade school or university studies. OCEAN Nepal believes that each child has a unique set of skills and interests, and it is our aim to provide the children with every opportunity to create a fulfilling future for them.
