About Nepal:

Nepal is a small Himalayan kingdom in Southern Asia . The country is surrounded by China and India , Nepal 's two ‘big brothers'. Economically Nepal is one of the poorest countries in the world. The majority of the people have less then one dollar a day to spend. One third of the 23.5 million inhabitants are living in real poverty. Many people are also illiterate. Especially in the countryside, where there are not enough schools to educate the children.

Although Nepal is economically very poor, it is very rich in nature. Nepal has some of the most impressive mountain summits in the world. The highest one is the Mount. Everest, which is also the highest summit in the world. But Nepal is also the birthplace of Buddha, the prince of peace.

Generally Nepal is a relatively peaceful country. With different religions living together side by side and accepting each other.
